file io - Check if my Java application was started from Network -

i have check whether started java application on network or not, can shut downwards application if started machine.

the solution has work on windows , linux.

i guess interpreting current working directory might starting point, have no thought java-class; provide me feature need.

why? if it's security reasons out-of-luck. if attacker can create process on machine, (s)he able create process whatever environmental properties programme checks decide whether "user" remote or local.

if it's security reasons, should trying prevent attacker communicating machine @ all.

if it's other purpose, haven't provided plenty information. kind of "application?" how local user start it? how remote user seek start it? etc.
