vba - How can we draw data from a closed workbook on EXCEL using EXCEL 2013? (Similar to InDirect) -

i trying draw info set cell numerous closed workbooks. each file weekly update need draw info of files create weekly time series , name of file changes depending on date. mean there ton of files format xxxxdate. example, filename062314 filename061614 filename060914. there quite bit of file names, , importing them hand extremely tedious. have column of identification dates, , on right have form draw out info if inputed them 1 @ time. next code: =filepath[filenamedate]worksheetname$b$7 (the cell want).

this works great except fact cannot utilize date dynamically without turning string forced utilize indirect function. unfortunately when utilize indirect function, requires file open use. cannot utilize laurent longre's functions because compatible 2007. there other way this? pretty inexperienced excel help appreciated.
