i trying utilize atl oledb consumer within vs 2010 (tried vs2012) generate accessor class using wizard. connecting azure mssql db using dbo rights. error

could not dbschema_columns schema. (the provider might not back upwards it).

connecting , running wizard locally installed sql server 2008 r2 express works fine. idea? recommended workaround?

apparently azure db not (fully) back upwards oledb:

connecting microsoft azure sql database using ole db or ado not supported.

i reconsider resigning application utilize odbc.
