ubuntu - GDM display manager fails to display login -

so i've got interesting 1 here...

when boot computer i'm presented blank screen after ubuntu loading screen. weird thing if go grub loader, select recovery mode select go on normal boot works fine.

i tried reconfiguring reinstalling gdm. i'm sort of @ loss of ideas now. , help appreciated. thanks!

while booting ubuntu machine, go console pressing "ctrl+alt+f2" , login credentials , seek installing lightdm.

sudo apt-get install lightdm.

it inquire desktop manager want create default, select lightdm , proceed installation.

logout , log in graphical mode pressing "ctrl+alt+f7".

it should work fine time. :)
