ruby on rails - Nginx timeout on Digital Ocean -

i have ruby on rails application running on digitalocean. maintain running 504 gateway timeout error nginx. happened when running service unicorn restart , service nginx restart. don't see apparent in production logs problems nginx or unicorn. in fact saying root view rendered, despite me getting time out error. i'm bit confused might causing error , i'm not little unsure info can provide in question of help.

edit unicorn config @ /home/unicorn/unicorn.conf , comment out line user 'rails'

then:

service unicorn restart

ruby-on-rails nginx unicorn digital-ocean
