since developing product, need have feature, allow release immediate bug-fix / security patches our clients. of these applicable all, few limited module / client.

need have alternative manage , host dll / sql patches our server, , software piece on client instance query , download available patches manually / automatically.

have service through client can check available patches, can client wise if new patch found, notification should generated , there should alternative download. the url service should configurable option switch on/off service updates

need study best industry practice around , develop generic robust solution..
