ruby on rails - How to Upgrade/Downgrade Rubygems version in Heroku? -

i need downgrade rubygem version 1.8.24 1.4.2 in heroku.

i tried next commands downgrade it. when cross checked still shows 1.8.24.

$ heroku run rvm install rubygems 1.4.2 $ heroku run gem update --system 1.4.2

please suggest.

i don't think can run gem update --system on heroku :).

heroku not provide permanent disk space, gem files uploaded onto gem server lost after application redeploy. bad because heroku shuts application downwards if it's been idle more 1 hour.
