java - Get complete logs in tomcat console in catalina.out -

i have scenario develop liferay portlets through eclipse deploy them on tomcat server integrated in eclipse. whenever exception, able trace through console finish stacktrace displyed there.

but, when deploy same portlets on stage , production server not able see exception in command prompt / terminal / putty catalina.out displayed live.

please tell me way accomplish or workaround that. if possible, please state merits , demerits same.
