i trying set first google app engine applicaton , having ploughed through docs , examples decided quite objectify approach. however, gwt passing objectify object gwt class causes issues.

so tried objectify-gwt there seems tumbleweed blowing thorugh project. examples seem date 2010/2011 project seems have been forked off main objectify branch (april 2014) wondering if has future.

if not, pattern passing info between objectify end , gwt front-end? have have 2 sets of objects, 1 in persistence layer , 1 in ui?

objectify-gwt little bit of code doesn't require much in way of updates. said, submitted pull request fixes problem gradle builds. it's overdue new release. unless gae adds new info types, objectify-gwt pretty much done. wouldn't worry future of objectify-gwt more worry future of gwt in general.

that said, think value of passing raw entity types , forth across gwt-rpc boundry overrated. tends produce anemic domain model. when actively using gwt, tended simple embedded components , not whole entities. every project different; maybe approach you.
